Glasses did not yet exist in the 13th century BCE, but astounding artworks certainly did, surviving through the ages. An image of the “anthropoids,” as these sarcophagi are affectionately called by the Museum, graces this protective eyeglass case – a lovely accessory that is both sturdy and practical, clicking open and closed with ease.
