This statuette is a replica of a handmade earthenware figurine showing a standing woman holding her large, protruding breasts. Her thighs are tinted and etched with lines suggestive of a leaf-like skirt or belt, and encircling her neck are three thick bands resembling a choker.
Similar figurines have been found in Cyprus in tombs and settlement layers from different periods, and in other sites along the Mediterranean coast. This one was apparently brought from Cyprus to Canaan in antiquity. Figurines of this type are thought to have been used in fertility rites.
